Who We Are

New England Cigar Factory is the joint venture of native New Englanders Douglas and Allyson Foss and long time friend Robert Schattle. This group's mission is to provide a high-quality, carefully blended, hand-rolled cigar solution to establishments in the retail, liquor store, golf course and resort marketplaces.

How We Developed

Douglas’ personal desire to master the careful blending and rolling of cigars eventually evolved into accepting engagements at corporate outings for cigar-rolling demonstrations. It became apparent that guests would pass up the "high-grade" cigars (which could be purchased at local tobacconists) for the hand-rolled cigars displayed in their private humidor. Yes, it was obvious that romance and curiosity surrounded these fabulous smokes. Douglas’ activities that began as a passion was evolving into a rewarding career. After researching the golf course, retail and liquor store and resort markets, this group found that existing cigar marketing programs were not creating sales for the establishment, but rather served as a resource for customers who happened to forget a cigar for the course or for an evening afterglow at the fire pit. Many establishment's programs were overpriced and oftentimes displayed in plastic cases. Douglas embarked to create three perfect blends and house them in a humidity-controlled atmosphere that has been used to maintain the flavor of premium long-filler cigars for hundreds of years. Providing the attractive hardwood frame and tempered glass humidor served to further enhance the quality of the cigars encased within. These cigars are the only cigars Douglas Foss smokes and we now proudly offer these programs to you!
